About The Property
The Odyssey Retreat resort is situated in Edamadu Village on the Kanakapura Road. It is around 15 Kms from Kaggalipura town and 40 Kms from Bangalore. It is owned by Pavan Ventures, managed and marketed by the company Lets-Hit-The-Road.

The Odyssey Retreat resort has huge lush green lawns and gazebos which can be used for hosting private parties, meetings and corporate events.
Accommodation
There are 3 types of accommodation options in The Odyssey Retreat resort.
1. Eco Cottages
There are 5 Eco cottages in the resort. Each cottage is air conditioned, has a double bed, a TV unit and an attached bathroom. The rooms are neat. The double bed is spacious enough for two adults and a kid below 3 years. An extra guest can be accommodated in the room with additional charges. The bathrooms are standard and not over the top.
2. Family Room / Dormitory
There are 2 Family rooms or dormitories in the resort. Each dormitory is air conditioned, has a mix of both single as well as double beds. It can accommodate 10 persons. There are two attached bathrooms in each dormitory. The bathrooms are very basic.
3. Tents
The tents are not permanent. The resort staff arrange it on need basis. These are usually setup within the walkable distance from the common toilets within the resort premises. Each tent can usually accommodate 2 adults.
Recreational Activities
The Odyssey Retreat is an adventure resort and it offers a plethora of recreational activities for adults as well as kids.
1. Rain Dance
There is a separate rain dance area within the resort. The activity is conducted post lunch and it is open for all guests. It continues for a duration of 20 to 30 minutes.
2. Zipline
The Odyssey Retreat resort also offers zipline activity. Guests above 10 years of age can experience this fun activity anytime between morning and evening.
3. Wavepool
It is an activity where artificially generated waves are created in the swimming pool. This activity is conducted post lunch and it continues for a duration of about 15 minutes.
4. Campfire
A common campfire is organized by the resort staff in the evenings for all guests. However, guests in group can also opt for their private campfire event by paying additional charges.
5. Funky Monkey
This is a fun activity that involves climbing trees. It is more suited for kids. It is done under the super vision and guidance of resort staff.
6. Wall Climbing
This is also a fun activity where guests can scale a 40 ft high wall. The wall has grips for hands and feet. It is also done under the supervision and guidance of the Odyssey Retreat staff.
7. Guided Trek
The Odyssey Retreat resort also conducts guided trek in the mornings to a nearby hill. The guests can get a scenic view of the resort as well as the surroundings from the hill top.
8. Game Arcade
This arcade is for kids which has couple of video game stations and electro-mechanical games. The activities within the arcade are chargeable and not included in the packages.
There are many other activities like archery, rapelling, inflatable beast, bubble soccer, basketball, cricket, paintball etc. and the Odyssey Retreat resort staff can arrange these games based on the requests made by the guests.
Food Options
The resort serves breakfast, lunch, evening hi-tea with snacks and dinner. The food is usually served in the common dining area.
1. Breakfast
The breakfast menu usually comprises of idly, sambar, chutney, upma, vada, bread toast, boiled egg , coffee and tea.
2. Lunch
In lunch, both veg as well as non-veg food options are available. Usually the menu consists of chicken biryani, veg pulao, veg soup, white rice, rasam, daal, roti, chicken curry, veg curry, curd, salad, sweet and ice cream.
3. Evening Hi-Tea
The evening hi-tea is served around 5 PM in the common dining area. Both tea and coffee along with snacks are available for the guests.
4. Dinner
The dinner is served to the guests in the common dining area between 8 PM to 9 PM. The spread is decent, and menu usually consists of options like veg biryani, veg soup, white rice, non-veg biryani, noodles, roti, veg curry, curd, salad, daal , sweet and ice cream.
Packages
1. Day Outing Packages
There are different types of day outing packages offered by The Odyssey Retreat resort – some inclusive of food and usage of resort facilities like swimming pool only, some inclusive of food, usage of resort facilities and couple of paid activities. The guests can choose from these options based on their convenience, budget and time. The check-in for day packages starts from 9 AM in the morning. Checkout time depends on the kind of package that the guest has opted for.
2. Overnight Stay Packages
The overnight stay packages are available for guests looking for a night stay in The Odyssey Retreat resort. There are multiple types of overnight stay packages and the guests can choose one of the accommodation types like Eco cottages, Tents or Family Room / Dormitory (only available for group or families) for their stay. Usually lunch, hi-tea, dinner, campfire, breakfast, guided trekking, around 4 paid activities, morning tea and breakfast are included in these overnight stay packages. The check-in for overnight stay packages starts at 12 PM and checkout is at 11 AM.
Tips
The dining area is at a considerable distance from the Eco cottages and dormitories. Also, the pathways across the property are bit undulated. Elderly people might have some bit of difficulty in taking these pathways.
Rooms are all neat and clean. Though sanitization is done diligently by housekeeping, it is always advisable for the guests to carry their own sanitizers and wear masks as the place remains crowded during the weekends.
Resort does not provide any Wi-Fi service. Guests can use their mobile data to access internet.
There is no intercom in the rooms. For any requirement, the guests can contact the resort coordinator over the mobile phone.
There are mosquito vaporizers provided in all rooms.
Drinking water bottles are provided during check in. Also guests can purchase additional water bottles in the resort.
Alcohol consumption is allowed in the resort, but the guests need to carry their own liquor.
The common toilets are usually clean. However, guests might find those a bit grungy especially during the weekends when the place gets crowded.
