Design
The Airdopes 281 earbuds design has some resemblance to the Apple Airpods. The plastic quality of the earbuds and the case is good and the product is very light. The earbuds snugly fits the ear canals and are comfortable to wear for long hours.
Sound and mic quality
The Bass produced is decent though not a thumping one. The overall sound quality is pleasant and worth its cost. There is no volume control option in the earbuds. Volume can be only be increased or decreased from the devices paired with these earbuds. The Mic quality is moderate and at times there are mild distortions while taking calls.
Touch controls
The Airdopes 281 has a very touch responsive interface on the side of each earbud and it offers many controls like play/pause music, pick up or reject incoming calls, switch to different tracks, pick up or reject incoming calls and activate voice assistant. However at times accidental or unintentional touch to the sides of the earbuds can end up in pausing the music and can be very annoying.
Battery Life
Each earbud has a 40mAh battery that offers a battery life of 3.5 hours playback time. The Case has a 420mAh battery capacity which can be charged with a Type C charger to give an uninterrupted power of about 14 hours. It takes around 1 hour to fully charge the earbuds when kept in the case.
Water proofing
It has an IPX5 rating that gives it good protection against rain, sweat and dust. However it is not under water resistant.
Verdict
There are not many wireless earphone options available in the price category in which Airdopes 281 is currently offered. A decent battery life, sturdy yet cool design , good sound quality, smooth touch controls and the water resistant feature makes it a great value for money product.
